Club Championships 

The 2025 Squash club championships was held on Sunday 11 May 2025. Thanks to all the participants for a great afternoon of squash. 

Team news

We are fielding two teams in the Cambridgeshire mixed squash leagues for the 2025/26 season beginning at the end of September. Last season the 1st team finished 7th in Division 1 and the 2nd team finished 3rd in Division 4 and will be in the 3rd division this season. In summer we ran one team in the Cambridgeshire summer leagues.

Juniors

Junior squash is moving - previously we ran on Saturday afternoons - From September 14th we will be running junior squash every Sunday from 10am. Suitable for 8-15 year olds, who want to have fun, learn new skills and get fit. Sign up here and we'll be in touch with the finalised session times. 

Curry Night

Thanks everyone for coming to the annual curry night on Friday January 10th. Great fun.

The Club is based at the One Leisure Huntingdon Centre. It caters for all those who wish to enjoy social or competitive squash and racketball (Squash 57). 

The club has much to offer and wants to do more for its members with your help and input. Our committee is fully committed to putting on lots of events for the benefit of our members and to encourage the uptake of squash and racketball in the community. 

Our current programme is below: 

Club Night - Mondays at 7.40pm - Open to all. 

 Members receive a discounted fee of £3.50 to participate at club night and can have a go at squash and racketball in a fun, friendly environment.

 It’s a great way of meeting other players and practising your squash with players of all abilities. Racketball night is the last Monday of every month. 

Tournaments

 We have held a range of events this year for all abilities such as the handicap speed squash turkey tournament and the Pairs Batman & Robin squash tournament. 

We also hold Squash and Racketball Club Championships annually and an annual Racketball post Xmas detox event. 

Team Squash

 The club has two mixed teams in the Cambridgeshire leagues. The 1st team are in Division I of the Cambs league and offer the chance to play squash at a high level.  The current team includes the national squash champion of Turkey, the Portugal u19 squash champion and a British national intercounty racketball Over 40s champion. 

The 2nd team is in the 4th Division. The team run by Club Captain Alistair Paul offers an excellent introduction to the competitive yet fun nature of team squash for players of all abilities.

Coaching and Training

Group sessions can be arranged, using coaches from within the Club and external qualified coaches to provide support to team players, upper and lower box league players, ladies and social players. Coaching will also be accessible on selected club nights. 

We currently have two coaches who the club have supported through England Squash coaching qualifications, John Dewis and Matt Dixon.  John, 078 55 44 7402, is also a Level 2 coach and available for individual coaching.

Box Leagues 

One Leisure run the box leagues published on the noticeboard which are open to all. We encourage members to enter the box leagues and we are working with One Leisure to increase participation.  To participate you will need to be a registered user of One Leisure facilities. Membership

Membership is £20 for adults and free to juniors (under 18). Members receive a large discount for clubnight fees and discounted entry to club competitions. Members are also eligible to participate in the club championships and team squash events.  Details and membership form.
